We understand that it is difficult for you to watch a video or read a quick bio about our family (personal or church) and begin to trust us and know where our hearts are coming from. I get it. Maybe you landed on this site : by accident or someone said you should check us out or you have been really hurt by church in the past but you wanted to give God one more chance.
We want you to know that Atrium Church does not have an agenda for your life, and I understand I can’t convince you through words anyway, so we are asking that you come over and check us out. We do have services on Sunday morning, but what is even more exciting to us are the opportunities we have to bring people of all backgrounds together and create a great community monday through saturday.
Come and check us out : First cup of coffee is on me
In May, of this year, I was presented with an opportunity of possibly moving to St. Louis, Mo., to be a part of a new church in nearby Collinsville, Illinois; launching 9.11.11. After a ton of prayer, and conversations with people that God has placed in my life and wanting to be faithful, I have decided to accept the calling God has put on my heart for the Creative Arts position for Atrium Church.
The next few months are going to be an amazing journey as I prepare to move at the first of the year. I’m leaving behind a great church, a great neighborhood, walking away from the promising music career here in Charlotte, moving to a brand new city, and leaving the wonderful cooking of my grandmother; all to be a part of what God is going to do in Collinsville and St. Louis.
The Collinsville area is changing quickly. The growth of St. Louis combined with the poverty of the surrounding communities; Collinsville is becoming a connecting point. There is a huge opportunity to bring hope to people who look around and see hopelessness and no one willing to help. We are moving and starting a new church so people can have a deep hope and begin to live life to the fullest. (John 10:10)
